1.Principles:

PH meter: an instrument used to determine the pH value of a solution.PH meter works on the principle of galvanic cell. The electromotive force between two electrodes of galvanic cell is related to the properties of the electrode and the concentration of hydrogen ion in solution according to the specific energy law.There is a correspondence between the electromotive force of the galvanic cell and the concentration of hydrogen ions. The negative logarithm of the concentration of hydrogen ions is the pH value.

6.Electrode installation：

Attentions of electrode：
1. The glass electrode socket should be kept dry and clean. It is strictly prohibited to contact with acid fog, salt fog and other harmful gases, and it is strictly prohibited to be dipped in water solution, so as to ensure the high input impedance of the instrument.
2. There is an appropriate amount of 3.3mol/LKCL solution in the protective cap in the front part of the electrode, wherein the electrode head can be soaked to maintain the activation of the sensitive film and liquid junction.
3. When the electrode is in use, it is necessary to remove the transparent protective cap in front and infuse the glass bulb and the liquid connecting part into the measured medium. During installation and fixation, please do a good job of waterproof sealing with raw materials to avoid water entering the PH electrode and causing short circuit of the PH electrode cable.
4. New or unused electrodes must be soaked in distilled water for several hours (or de-chlorinated) before use.The electrode asymmetry potential can be stabilized and the electrode internal resistance can be reduced.
5. During measurement, the electrode bulb should be immersed in the tested solution.
6. The user shall regularly clean the sensitive film in front of the electrode/use the electrode for a long time, and his glass film may become transparent or attach to sediments. At this time, wash it with diluted hydrochloric acid and wash it with water.
7. The electrode should be cleaned when not in use and inserted into the protective cap with saturated potassium chloride solution
8. There should be no bubbles in potassium chloride solution to avoid disconnection of the measurement circuit.
9. PH electrode is a consumable, because the measured environment is bad, the normal service life is one year, if not properly maintained will be shortened.
